<p><span style="font-size: medium;">Hey everyone!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I just wanted to post this real quick and get some feedback. We are trying to determine what new changes you want to see on the site. We have debated on a completely new rewrite of the code or at least eliminating some of the stuff that is not really used. But te main thing is what do we need to add? What are we missing that would make this site better?</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Please feel free to be honest. <p><span style="font-size: medium;">Hey Everyone!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Just to kind of touch base a bit more on the message I sent out yesterday. I like to post a blog to get some feedback if these are good ideas or bad! As mentioned, the song review process is very key to Mixposure. The goal is that if someone is reviewing your music, hopefully you are returning the favor!! </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">What we have decided to do is a little reward incentive for doing reviews. Nothing major but just a way for us to thank the members who are spending their time supporting the artists here through reviews. A few weeks ago we ordered some Mixposure Pens and Keychains that should be here next week. For members who do a 1000 reviews we will ship them a Free Mixposure Pen. Members hitting 5000 reviews we will ship them a Free Mixposure Keychain. For the existing members who have reached the first milestone, we will be shipping those to you when they come in. Hopefully we will add some other items along the way. We will add these new items to the Mixposure Store when they come in. <br /></span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Also I wanted to point out something that I am sure many of you utilize. I am not able to always attend the radio shows. Even when I do, the chances of me making it from start to finish are slim to none with two kids. What I do try and do is download the replays to my iPod or even just listen to <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/MixRadio_CenterStage/music.php">Mike's Center Stage Presentation reposts</a>. Since we just added a Mixposure Mobile, you can also listen from anywhere you have an internet connection! <p>Congratulations to Tommie Brewster for being our December Artist of the month!</p><p>From Tommie's Bio:</p><p> </p><p><strong>Background!!</strong><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>I have been a musician all my life and cannot remember a time</strong></p><p><strong>when I didn’t play piano. I started before I was 4 years old </strong></p><p><strong>and studied classical music at the Royal Academy of Music</strong></p><p><strong>in London, playing several other instruments also.</strong></p><p><strong>At home, my influences were many from jazz to ragtime, from </strong></p><p><strong>swing to reggae, from rock to heavy metal but it was always</strong></p><p><strong>blues that spoke loudest to me in my heart and soul and it was </strong></p><p><strong>always my dream to write, play and sing my own blues music.</strong></p><p><strong><img class="spotlight" src="http://a8.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/180773_1885415892526_1155240882_32398793_1263073_n.jpg" alt="" /></strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>Every musician absorbs influences and I am no exception, but I do </strong></p><p><strong>not knowingly emulate or imitate anyone – I just write my blues</strong></p><p><strong>the way I hear it in my heart and my head.</strong><strong> </strong></p><p><strong> </strong></p><p><strong>I also had a dream to produce my own music which I have now</strong></p><p><strong>achieved and with the help of some very professional final</strong></p><p><strong>mastering I am pleased with the finished product. I write</strong></p><p><strong>my music in the oldfashioned way, on manuscript and the lyrics </strong></p><p><strong>come to me along with the melody as a complete package. </strong></p><p><strong>I record also in as authentic a way as I can – no samples, </strong></p><p><strong>loops, tweaks – if I make a mistake in playing the piano part, then </strong></p><p><strong>I start at the beginning and do it all again!!</strong></p><p><strong>I play piano, sax, clarinet, harmonica, organ and a few other things.</strong><strong> </strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I know many of you are now using Mobile internet connections and let's face it, Mixposure is not very friendly to slow connections let alone iPod's and Mobile Phones. Actually my iPod Touch worked pretty well but my wireless access was kind of brutal. Very slow to load and hard to read due to the layout.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">I had many people ask if we could take Mixposure to next level and have a Mobile Solution. I am happy to say that day has arrived! <p><span style="font-size: medium;">Hey Everyone!</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Just a heads up on a new Flash Player we added. There are still a few bugs to work out in it but I think it is stable enough to let everyone know about it. It is called iAudio and can be found in your Artist > Modify Artist > "Choose the Player to appear on your Page". If you put your mouse on the bottom of the player, a small popup will appear. You can then mouse over each of the objects to see what they do. Give it about 5 seconds to appear. The time on the prevents a popup appearing every time you move your mouse around on it. The envelope will most likely be the most used since it has the sharing ability with social media sites.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">With this player, you will not be able to customize the colors in the control panel. You can however change many of the colors on the embed code for your site. We have the ability to create multiple versions though and I hope to be putting some together soon. There is a slight bug with that at the moment that sould be resolved shortly. </span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">We also changed the default popup player to a new player.
