This is a song from my Jaxonville CD. A mix of acoustic and electric guitars in a Folk Rock style. My songwriting seems to get stuck in certain genres from time to time...this is from a period when Folk Rock was dominating my thoughts. The lyric is a message or advice to my then, two young adult children. Although there will be Mistakes and Hindsight in their lives......it will all turn out fine in the end. I think it has so far.
Instruments used:
1979 Takamine acoustic guitar.
My beloved 1974 Telecaster Thinline and 1966 bassman amp for the lead solo.

Hi Farrell. It seems the song has been on the site since 2020 but this is my first time hearing it. Love the harmonies. They add so much to the track. Great lyrics and another great vocal! I really enjoyed this one Farrell.
Best

Firecircle:
Solid song-great vocals I like this style of music to me more Americana than folk/rock but I guess it's just that Scotish folk music tends to be more 6/8 and slip time rather than 4/4 and of course we have very different historical refs-like this a lot
Thanks for listening and for the good words @firecircle !
The ReWlettes:
Great message to your children through a well produced song! The vocals, melody and instrumentation are truly Folk Rock. Realizing that we can make A Lotta Mistakes is cause for celebrating that aspect of the true learning curve of life! The ReWlettes
Thanks for listening and for the good comments ReWlettes!

Just some songs that I've written over the years and to date. Plus some collaboration songs as well.

I've had fun with this music stuff most of my life and still do. I gigged in a band for 35 years but now I'm just a home studio hack. Made some bucks from gigging but I guess the real payout is the numerous stories and memories from the road.
For a while I ran a small project studio at my place for soloists, duos, and the occasional full band. I gained a lot of recording experience doing that. It was definitely an experience. These days it's just me having fun in the studio. I try this and that with songwriting and recording. Once in a while it works. If I come up with something decent, which I think sounds ok, I'll post it up.
You can find my music on most of the popular sites ie. Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music etc. Thanks for visiting and if you have the time, hit the play button to hear a song or two.
