Sea of Change (Farrell Jackson 01-13-23)

We’re surrounded by a sea of change,  

It’s hard to recognize, cause things all seem the same.

If you look a little closer, you can see the tide has turned,

It’s so very obvious, it’s time for us to learn

We won’t find the answers, through someone else’s eyes,

Or follow them blindly, to maintain the lies.

It’s time to cross the bridge, instead of building walls,

It’s time for us to embrace the good…the good within us all.

Although the waters are choppy, rougher than they need to be

Our sails may be tattered, faith guides us through this sea

If for reasons beyond our control, our ship begins to list

We can keep it upright, with just one simple wish….

Calm this sea of rage, time to be the brave

Look beyond the waves……..

Calm this angry ocean, ease away the hate

Look beyond the blame………

It’s time to take….some responsibility……..

Or nothing will ever change………………..
