This is a cover of a Dave Mason song from 1970 off his Alone Together album. He was one of many that influenced my musical style of mixing acoustic, electric guitars and layered vocals. I recorded this song several years ago and just found it again. I was going for that vintage sound so I used my 1979 Takamine acoustic, 1974 Fender Thinline (pictured), and 1970 VOX violin bass for all the guitar/bass work. I chose my 1966 Fender Bassman amp for the guitars and bass sound.

don't know the song but sounds great, very 70's sounding song which sounds cool today, great vocal and the guitar work is excellent, captures that band feel really well in the production, nice work and very enjoyable

good song and ya did it good!...stirred memory of when I saw Delany and Bonnie with Eric Clapton do it at Madison Square Garden...early '70s
Thanks Gary! I've loved this song since the first time I heard in 1970...so I just had to do it.

@spaceboy - Thanks Bill for the good words! I'm glad it gave you some flashbacks! @rob-grant - TY Rob! I still have Alone Together in all it's marbled glory. The Gretsch plays and sounds great. @ronbowes - Thanks Cuz Ron! The Tele Thinline has a built in vintage sound switch, lol.

I've had fun with this music stuff most of my life and still do. I gigged in a band for 35 years but now I'm just a home studio hack. Made some bucks from gigging but I guess the real payout is the numerous stories and memories from the road.
For a while I ran a small project studio at my place for soloists, duos, and the occasional full band. I gained a lot of recording experience doing that. It was definitely an experience. These days it's just me having fun in the studio. I try this and that with songwriting and recording. Once in a while it works. If I come up with something decent, which I think sounds ok, I'll post it up.
You can find my music on most of the popular sites ie. Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music etc. Thanks for visiting and if you have the time, hit the play button to hear a song or two.
