well peter the walrus was one of my faves too.. this has a great lennon vibe without sounding like a cover.. that progression though is beatles classic in it's sophistication.. that flat 6 change is just awesome.. I really like your singing and lyrics on this as well.. as reaper said.. and excellent song.. great sound on the instrument blend.. love the progression.. cheers big pete..

Peter, I have listened to this about 4x now and I love the subtle and not so subtle cues you are using that evoke that strong Lennon influence in this track. Great pickoff man...I salute you. Love the chord progressions and wonderful details of the song...brilliantly done! Congrats, Blake
I too am a big John Lennon fan. I thought he was someone who wasn't afraid to wear it on his sleeve. Such a great poet he was.
I like what you did here as a tribute to a wonderful creative man.
I really feel Lennon himself could have written in this same type of style. You nailed it as far as I'm concerned.
I wish your vocals were louder though...
Very cool tune. I greew up with The Beatles, and for me John was always the one I found the most intelligent and interesting.
This is a great song, and the instrumentation is super, but the vocals are too far back in the mix. You might just need to double them a couple of time, to fatten them up and make stand out more in the mix. Just bring up the vocals a tad, and this will be perfect.

Damn nice! Music is absolutely fantastic as are the vocals. Some great riffs in here with a fantastic hook and classy lyrics. I think the mix could use a few tweaks. Vocals were buried in parts but man this is a great tune. You are a welcome addition here!
