I really dig the opening progression and once again, your guitar tone reminds me om places of Bo Hanson indeed as does some of the note selection . Enjoyable piece for me....

Who is the handsome guy in the beach chair?????
awesome tune!!!!
I like this one Mack...nice blues/rock feel...
great song Mack & Dave ~ thanks for the background story about your Dad ~ love the lyrics & as always love your music no matter what genre you are playing in
Love the song... performances, and of course those lyrics...
and even the story behind the song.
Great to see you sharing your excellent music again!!
::screammmmmmmmmmm:: hehe..
Nice piece of down n' dirty southern rock n' roll. Love the groove on this. Sweet guitars sitting nicely in the mix. Cool piece of work and well performed.
A cool bit of Texas blues attitude here!
Mack and Dave, you two can certainly transport a person with your music. I'd listened the first time without the benefit of your background to the song's inception....and the story about your dad...you guys nailed the essence of beach time perfectly.
I'd also give it a 10 for dance-ability.
I was looking for a tough Texas groove when we started recording the tracks for this song, I figured it would be about marching off to war or something like that. But Dave had been out shopping two for ones
at the grocery store and had been sipping and singing "Pink Lemonade" the whole time. I really liked the absurd contrast between the Tough groove and silly subject matter. We realized that the song was about our Dad at the beach... with the family. Dad had worked too hard most of his life and had a fondness for a shady spot and a cool drink in his hand. Cheers!
nice clearwater beach rocker sweetened with cool lead work
