I like the build on this. The spooky piano lends for a great atmosphere! The crispy snare is a nice contrast while all very musical!

Artist Of The Month September 2025 Robert Peterson & the Crusade

Robert Peterson and The Crusade bw copy.jpg

Robert has made a very nice splash with the Mixposure DJs. He makes really fine music for everyone with ears. Song Of The Month comes from Dewey Comhreir!

Robert Peterson and The Crusade   is a Musical Artist - an emerging American rock group formed in St. Paul, MN., and now based in Joplin, MO. But it is so much more than that. It is the culmination of a concept and an inspired vision brought to life. An ideal; A musical Trojan horse waiting outside the door to share its positive message with those who have ears to hear!

The Crusade is led by the vision of guitarist Robert Peterson, who produced, arranged, and penned all the band's material. In the style of an old familiar rock and roll fable, Peterson put his Master of Science degree to work by day as a biologist for a federal agency and honed his musical craft in his off-time. He garnered enough original material to warrant a recording session at Tangerine Studios in St. Paul.

What distinguishes   Robert Peterson and The Crusade's   music is its emphasis on melody - brought to the forefront with the perfect blend of lead and harmony vocals, catchy guitar hooks, and memorable and meaningful lyrics. The resulting, 'sound,' expresses originality and authenticity which resonates with diverse audiences.

Peterson's original Alternative Rock/Indie Rock/Power Pop music can be heard on the singles   Of All The World, Change Coming On,   and   Baa Baa The Black Sheep.   These tracks are available for download on the STORE section of the website or can be discovered on a host of music streaming platforms . . .   For those with ears to hear, let them hear.

The debut album entitled,   Change Coming On ,   is coming soon. Please Note: Robert's profile is updated now so that people can stream his great music.

HALL OF FAME FOR JUNE 2025 IS A MEMORIAL TO DAVID JOEL CARTER/TWANK WHELAN

For those of you who remember David Joel Carter, this will be a memorial to our friend. Mike Olson and I spoke to David live, on Mixposure and were immediately amazed at what a charming, capable, and truly supportive artist he was... from years on other sites, where he was a big presence and a constant supporter of Indie artists, and to the brief time he was with us on Mixposure.com, he was there, big as life, supporting everyone with his keen insight, incredible sense of humor, and freely-given kindness. David was suggested for the Hall of Fame by Ron D. Bowes, who had known David for many years. I couldn't even begin to count how many people David had collaborated with over the years, but I do know he made wonderful music with Ricky Mancini (Rogue Fungi) and Rich Lodato to name just a few. R.I.P. DAVID JOEL CARTER...

You can hear David's music right here: https://mixposure.com/twank-whelan/audio
