<p>Bug fixes are coming in slowly. You have probably seen a few corrections already. Getting close to sorting them all out!</p>
<p>Some of you are going to notice that Rapster's Corner is no longer on the front page. After seeing some discussions go south a bit, Rapster and I agreed it was better suited having these discussions in the forum. I am open for all sorts of discussions and I love reading the different viewpoints. We all need to stay professional in our replies! Since the front page is the first thing new members or potential new members see, I did not want to see any negtivity flying around. Thanks Joe for taking the high road on this. It is appreciated.</p>
<p><br />On Saturday May 10th we will have an interview with <a href="/mark_cloutier/">Mark Cloutier</a>.
Mark has a new CD out and we will be playing many of the songs as well
as getting to know him a little better. We will be in the <a href="/chat/">iMS Chat Room</a> from 9PM Eastern Standard Time until whenever everyone leaves!<br /><br /> After the Interview, we will play the songs from the iMS Songwriting Challenge! <a href="http://www.imusicscene.com/Carol_Douglas">Carol Douglas</a> wrote some great lyrics for Prisoner of Love so we will be playing all of the songs that have been submitted so far!</p>

We are pleased to announce that <a href="/mike_kohlgraf/">Mike-K</a> will be broadcasting beginning May 17th from 8PM to Midnight Eastern Standard Time so please join us in the <a href="/chat/">iMS Chat Room</a> for the Saturday Night Rocks show with your host Mike K! Mike has been a moderator at Soundclick for some time so many of you may know him from there. His radio show has been running for 4 years so we are pleased he has made iMS his knew home. We have a <a href="http://www.imusicscene.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=11916">New Radio DJ Forum</a> you can check out when you have time. Please feel free to ask Mike any questions you maye have! I think that speaks volumes to the quality of members here! <br /><br /> Mike will be featuring many of the artist from iMS as well as some
other Indie artists you may not have heard of before. I am sure Mike
will be looking for some Artist Promo's so if you have time, please
take a moment and do one. Have fun, be creative. <br /><br />We also wanted to mention that we have created a new <a href="/forum/viewtopic.php?f=103&t=11911">Songwriting Forum</a>.
We asked if the members would be interested in this forum and we
received a lot of positive feedback so it is now open for business.
This is a great way to get some feedback on lyrics before you finish
the song and hear all the lyric/arrangement suggestions after the fact!!</p>

There was a recent code change that I wanted to get implemented with some new features and some performance tweaks. When I implemented these, it caused some bugs in other areas. <p>I am curious. Would anyone be interested in a forum based on Lyrics/Songwriting? I know some of overlook this area and its importance!</p><p>Thoughts? </p>
<p>Hey Everyone. You might have noticed some changes were made to the site. The changes are about 50% done. The rest will hopefully be over the weekend. </p><p>Known Bugs - </p><ul><li>Who Is Online not displaying everyone</li><li>Newest Song Review Counts Not Correct</li><li>Artist Search Function Not Returning Artists</li><li>Artist not on PJ Theme images not displaying </li></ul><p>The next code changes will address these. <p>Did you know that iMusicScene offers an FTP Upload site to it's members for collabs as well as for the <a href="/forum/viewforum.php?f=93">Help Mix My Song</a> forum? Our newest moderator, Venuestudio, has offered his help in mixing your song for free. Hey Everyone! Just a few quick updates.<br /><br />We have recently added some new moderators to iMusicScene. Some of you may have read that Jim aka Artificial Earth and Saturated have been added but we also just added Venuestudio aka Kent and Beerhunter aka Lonnie. Beerhunter and Venuestudio are going to help out in the Recording Studio Forums. Kent has posted some great tips in the Recording Studio that I will be adding to our Mixing Help area very soon. Beerhunter's Blog is also loaded with great information as well. <br /><br />Kent has offered to start mixing songs for some members. I do not think he can take on every project thrown his way but if you have something that you would like to have him mix, post it in the Help Mix My Song Forum. I know I will be asking him to do some mixing. Remember we also have the upload FTP server for you to upload your wav files to. Information on that is in the Help Mix My Song Forum. <br /><br />Please do not forget about the iMS Songwriting Challenge. We have four songs submitted already. I know I have this on my to do list! When you upload the song, make sure you use the genre of iMS Songwriting Challenge. The due date is May 10th and yes you can be late. <p><font size="3">I have had a few alarming messages in the last day or so that have litterally made me take a step back. If there is one thing bout iMS, we are obviously customer service driven and make changes on the fly to ensure everyone has a great experience here. </font></p><p><font size="3">As a site like this continues to grow, we are going to have growing pains. We will be looking for more moderators to help keep the site at the highest level of integrity as we have always tried to maintain. If you feel you need to belittle a member to bring validity to your point, think again. It ends today. All we are asking is everyone to be professional! We are all in this together and music is not a competition. This site was created to have fun and be drama free! Let's try to hit that mark lol. </font><font size="3">My apologies to those of you who have been targeted by this. It should have been corrected. </font></p><p><font size="3">One of the common themes in the messages I received had to do with song reviews. When you log into your control panel now, everyone will see the below. <br /></font></p><p> </p><p><font size="3"><strong>Song Reviews!</strong> - There has been a lot of discussion about song reviews here at iMS lately. Most artists want their songs reviewed. Some feedback on the work we have done is always nice from our peers. Some artists though just want a place to host their songs so family and friends can listen. The decision is up to you in regards to song reviews though. If you listen to some of the songs on iMS and like them, let the artist know their work was appreciated. If you have advice, please remember to be constructive. Telling someone their song "Sucks" accomplishes nothing. I think of it like a job review. Tell people what they are doing well and then let them know a few things that could be improved upon. Remember, the majority of musicians on here are not professional audio engineers or studio musicians. We all started somewhere so let's help each other grow as artists! </font></p><p><font size="3">I want to thank each of you for being a part of iMusicScene. The caliber of talent on this site amazes me and just continues getting better.
