Anyone up for a Same Song Title Madness for February?
Maybe I should post what it is for the new members lol.
OK here is how it works. We start a forum thread where everyone can submit viable song titles. After a week or so we compile some of the titles and vote for a winner. Once that is decided, we try and take 4-6 weeks to allow everyone to create a new song with that as the title.
The song can be any genre you like. Vocals are not mandatory but obviously help sell the same song title theme a little better lol. We then set a due date and everyone uploads their song on the same day. What we end up with is a bunch of songs based on the same theme in different styles. It is interesting how everyone interprets the song title.

When we are talking about our music, it is obviously a very personal thing that we have decided to share with everyone on the internet. That being said, we hope people will like our music. Like many bands on the charts today have found out along the way, that will not always be the case. No artist will ever find that every person loves their music. I can rattle off 50 top selling bands and still find people on here who do not like them. That is just a music reality.</font> </p><p><font size="3">This leads me up to Reviews and Private Messages on iMusicScene. If you listen to an artist on here that you can't stand and then decide to let that artist know how bad they are, that is entirely up to you. Just remember, they will be reviewing your music as well. Most likely after reading your review. Sometime it is better to just walk away. If you have received a bad review, you can keep it or delete it. If you are getting Private Messages from someone that you do not like, just block the user. Please do not ask the iMS staff to choose sides. We are here for the music, not to play mediator between fighting members.<br /></font> </p><p><font size="3">If you want us to ban an artist or a member, we try and stay away from that. <p><font size="3" color="#c0c0c0">I wanted to take a moment to remind everyone about Review Ettiquette 101. What is Review Ettiquette you ask? I am so glad you asked!! <img src="/include/tiny_mce/../../images/smilies/face-grin.png" border="0" alt="" /></font></p><p><font size="3" color="#c0c0c0">I just wanted to remind people that if you are getting reviews on your songs, return the favor and review one of their songs. On every artist page it shows how many Reviews you have written and how many you have received. Trust me, people are going to start paying attention to those numbers. If you have received 40 song reviews and have written one, that is an easy indicator that you will not be returning the favor. I know I have a tendancy to walk away from those artists regardless of how well I like their songs. If I am doing it, you can bet others are as well. </font></p><p><font size="3" color="#c0c0c0">It is not mandatory that you review songs on this site so do not get the wrong idea. I am just saying if you want reviews, do some reviews. <p><font size="3">I wanted to let everyone know that we have added the ability to embed YouTube/Google Videos to your Artist Page. This is only valid on the ProJam Dark Theme at this time. Remember this theme is customizable so if you do not like the colors, change it! Currently the only supported themes are ProJam Dark, Cobalt3 and Sage. I will try and add it to the other 2 themes when I find the time. <br /><br />For those of you on the new theme, simple click Create Video > Add the appropriate information and then copy the embed code from YouTube, Google etc. into the Video Embed field. Now as most of you know, we only allow 100% original music on here. Since YouTube and Google are hosting these videos, post what you want. If they remove it from their site, it will obviously not work at iMS. </font></p><p><font size="3">I have increased the videos allowed because of this. Please use the embed feature whenever possble!<br /><br />If you want to see how this looks, you can click HERE.</font></p><p><font size="3">Also for those of you who like the Cobalt3 Artist Page Theme but want the latest and greatest features, change your theme in the control panel to ProJam Dark. <p><font size="3">Hey Guys you may see some bugs on the site for the next day or so. There was a server upgrade for apache. The good news is this should increase site performance. The bad news is it wreaked havoc on one of our scripts. You may see an error message or two.
