Well the trainwreck continues! Mike will be back the first week of September so you have to put up with us for awhile .

I will be pulling all of the Same Song Title Madness songs, "I know Trouble" and we will play them tonight. I will be pulling these today from the site by Title so please make sure you do not name it something different.

<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I always love when members send us a picture of them playing in their Mixposure T-Shirts! <a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/ked_records/">Ked's</a> the one playing the six string ukelele! &nbsp;I have to wonder though, Canada is known for some talented musicians as well as hockey. Since there is hockey on in the background, which takes precedence?&nbsp;</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><a href="http://www2.mixposure.com/ked_records/"><img src="http://www2.mixposure.com/image.php?mode=photo_image&amp;band_id=10&amp;image_id=6345" alt="" width="500" height="410" /></a></p>

<p><span style="font-size: medium;">I hate the thought of even bringing up reviews but I was asked about this again so I thought I would make the change for those interested.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">So members have said Mixposure is very kind on reviews when they were really looking for critical reviews. To try and resolve this issue, we have come up with the following solution. When creating a song, you will see a field called Review Feedback Type. There will be 3 entries in the drop down Normal, Constructive and Critical. If you are fine with the normal Mixposure Review Process, leave the default value of normal. If you choose any of the other three options, on the review form an image will appear with the review type requested. Not sure if we need all these values? Thoughts?</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/images/constructive.png" alt="" width="97" height="28" /><img src="http://www.mixposure.com/images/critical.png" alt="" width="61" height="28" /></span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Now the one thing I will say is that if you request a Critical Review, please do not expect roses and a card. Mixposure has many professional musicians and if requested, they can and will critique a song to your expectations. If you do not like a review however, please just delete it. Sending a message to the reviewer telling them they do not know what they are talking about means you have chosen the wrong type of review feedback to receive.</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Now the good thing about this is that if you are a beginning musician, you probably do not want to put down Critical for your review type. You might want to put down Kind until you work on your skills!&nbsp;</span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Please feel free to comment!</span></p>

Just a few quick things! I wanted to let everyone know that we changed the way the charts are being done. Before it used to be every artist was limited to 3 songs on the charts. I have changed that to 1. This way no artist can dominate the charts.<br /><br />As an example. Let's say you have 3 songs that are the top 3 songs on the site. 2 are in Rock Genre and 1 is in Acoustic Genre. If you are looking at the top ten songs on the site, only the highest played song you have would appear. The same is true by Genre. Only the highest played song will appear. Hopefully this gives all artists more exposure. <br /><br />Mike K is in the process of moving so his show will be off the air for the next three weeks. We will try and do something in the time slot. <p>Welcome to the New Mixposure everyone! I just wanted to take a few moments and share some information.<br /><br />This site is not affiliated with the Mixposure of Old. I was a member there along with many of the existing members on this site. When Kyle let the domain go, we decided it would be a great idea to buy it. We tried to buy it from Kyle but he did not return our call. Instead we purchased it from a third party vendor.<br /><br />That being said, are we the same as the Mixposure of old? Yes and No. Yes in that we provide a lot of the same features and No because we provide a lot of features that the old Mix did not offer.<br /><br />I know some people had a great experience with the old Mixposure. Kyle built a great place for many musicians to hang their hat. It was ashame that it went down the way it did. Like the Phoenix though, Mixposure has risen again from out of the ashes. This time under new management and a team of dedicated musicians/moderators to make your experience a positive one.<br /><br />Oh additionally, if you have links on the internet to your old mix page, make sure you use the same band name so your links become active again. If you are an existing member here and need a name change, please let me know.<br /><br />I hope you enjoy the new Mixposure everyone.<br /><br />The Mixposure Team</p>
