<p>Did you know that iMusicScene offers an FTP Upload site to it's members for collabs as well as for the <a href="/forum/viewforum.php?f=93">Help Mix My Song</a> forum? Our newest moderator, Venuestudio, has offered his help in mixing your song for free. I love these designs!!! Stratage advertises on Mixposure and also provides us with free guitars for Contests. Just ask Bilbozo about his Stratage Guitar!! I had the opportunity to play a few <a href="http://stratageguitars.com" target="_blank">Stratage Guitars</a> at the Dallas Guitar Festival. They are very unique and have sustain for days. I seriously think Frank has come up with the pickup system of the future. I get the feeling that it won't be long before the big guys are infringing on his patents and the lawsuits start flying. <p>Bug fixes are coming in slowly. You have probably seen a few corrections already. Getting close to sorting them all out!</p>
<p>Some of you are going to notice that Rapster's Corner is no longer on the front page. After seeing some discussions go south a bit, Rapster and I agreed it was better suited having these discussions in the forum. I am open for all sorts of discussions and I love reading the different viewpoints. We all need to stay professional in our replies! Since the front page is the first thing new members or potential new members see, I did not want to see any negtivity flying around. Thanks Joe for taking the high road on this. It is appreciated.</p>
<p><br />On Saturday May 10th we will have an interview with <a href="/mark_cloutier/">Mark Cloutier</a>.
Mark has a new CD out and we will be playing many of the songs as well
as getting to know him a little better. We will be in the <a href="/chat/">iMS Chat Room</a> from 9PM Eastern Standard Time until whenever everyone leaves!<br /><br /> After the Interview, we will play the songs from the iMS Songwriting Challenge! <a href="http://www.imusicscene.com/Carol_Douglas">Carol Douglas</a> wrote some great lyrics for Prisoner of Love so we will be playing all of the songs that have been submitted so far!</p>

Mike has been a moderator at Soundclick for some time so many of you may know him from there. His radio show has been running for 4 years so we are pleased he has made iMS his knew home. We asked if the members would be interested in this forum and we
received a lot of positive feedback so it is now open for business.
This is a great way to get some feedback on lyrics before you finish
the song and hear all the lyric/arrangement suggestions after the fact!!</p>

<p><font size="3">I have had a few alarming messages in the last day or so that have litterally made me take a step back. If there is one thing bout iMS, we are obviously customer service driven and make changes on the fly to ensure everyone has a great experience here. </font></p><p><font size="3">As a site like this continues to grow, we are going to have growing pains. We will be looking for more moderators to help keep the site at the highest level of integrity as we have always tried to maintain. If you feel you need to belittle a member to bring validity to your point, think again. It ends today. All we are asking is everyone to be professional! We are all in this together and music is not a competition. This site was created to have fun and be drama free! Let's try to hit that mark lol. </font><font size="3">My apologies to those of you who have been targeted by this. It should have been corrected. </font></p><p><font size="3">One of the common themes in the messages I received had to do with song reviews. When you log into your control panel now, everyone will see the below. <br /></font></p><p> </p><p><font size="3"><strong>Song Reviews!</strong> - There has been a lot of discussion about song reviews here at iMS lately. Most artists want their songs reviewed. Some feedback on the work we have done is always nice from our peers. Some artists though just want a place to host their songs so family and friends can listen. The decision is up to you in regards to song reviews though. If you listen to some of the songs on iMS and like them, let the artist know their work was appreciated. If you have advice, please remember to be constructive. Telling someone their song "Sucks" accomplishes nothing. I think of it like a job review. Tell people what they are doing well and then let them know a few things that could be improved upon. Remember, the majority of musicians on here are not professional audio engineers or studio musicians. We all started somewhere so let's help each other grow as artists! </font></p><p><font size="3">I want to thank each of you for being a part of iMusicScene. The caliber of talent on this site amazes me and just continues getting better. As some of you may have realized, when you upload a song the sort order is Oldest to Newest. So if you have 4 pages of music, your new song will be buried on page 4. Personally, when someone visits my page, I prefer the newer songs to appear first. In your control panel under Songs you will see Arrange Songs. From here you can highlight a song and move it up or down in the order. Just remember when you are done to click the Change Order Button at the bottom to make your changes permanent.
