NO LONGER FEELING OUT OF PLACE

CHERISH THE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE
THINGS CAN HAPPEN IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE
WHILE USELESS THINGS CAN BE REPLACED
SOMEBODY'S LEFT ASKING, QUESTIONS OF WHY
A NEW BORN CHILD IS HERE TODAY
CHERISH EACH MOMENT
THAT THE GOOD LORD GAVE
BECAUSE...
WHAT'S HERE TODAY, MIGHT BE TAKEN AWAY
THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE
THAT WERE ALWAYS THERE FOR YOU
MAYBE YOU HAVE QUARRELLED
BUT THEY STILL CHERISH YOU
A DEFIANT SON, OR A TROUBLED DAUGHTER
CHERISH THEM ALWAYS, GOOD TIMES AND BAD
THEY NEED THE CARE OF THEIR MOTHER AND FATHER
ESPECIALLY WHEN CALLING IN TIMES OF DESPAIR
AS WE ALL GROW A BIT OLDER
AND OUR HEALTH GOES DOWNHILL
OUR BODIES KEEP FIGHTING
SAYING DON'T LOSE YOUR WILL
THOUGH THE CLOCK IS STILL TICKING
OUR TIME HERE STILL ENDS
SO I'LL CHERISH YOU ALWAYS

THERE ARE THINGS I CANT REMEMBER
BUT THE MEMORIES THAT I HAVE
I WILL CHERISH THEM FOREVER
IN MY HEART AND IN MY HEAD
WHEN WE MET IN MID OCTOBER
FELT I'D KNOWN YOU ALL MY LIFE
THE WAY WE FLIRTED WITH EACH OTHER
WE WERE LAUGHING EVERY NIGHT
LITTLE THINGS ARE SMALL REMINDERS
OF HOW WE MADE EACH OTHER FEEL
MOONBEAMS LIGHTING UP THE DARKNESS
LONGING TO HOLD EACH OTHER TIGHT
YOU AWAKENED ALL MY SENSES
AND I MADE YOU HOWL AT NIGHT
OUR NIGHTS WERE WOVEN INTO DREAMS
BUT WE NEVER CLOSED OUR EYES
TO FEEL YOUR WARM EMBRACE
AND YOUR KISS UPON MY LIPS
WAS LIKE THE DEW UPON A ROSE
THAT MOTHER NATURE KISSED

A few words of wisdom..It seems the older I get, the less I remember.. This is just a little something that I wrote about memories. Whatever you do, don't let them fade.. Write everything down so it's never lost.. Wish someone had warned me.. Anyway, Thank you for taking the time to read.. I hope you enjoy.. If interested, I'm always open for collaborations

Little Red Riding Hood
Little red riding hood
Was always misunderstood
She always thought that wolf
Was better than... just good
Did Grandma ever know
That she loved that old wolf so
When the wolf would come around
Red riding hood's face would glow
So sweet and innocent
Yet her life she would have spent
In the woods so far away
Had the wolf been confident
Her heart was pure as gold
It was he.. she longed to hold
Her dreams remain just dreams
And her story will go untold

"I Love You"
It's funny how the words "I Love You"
Coming from someone so sincere
Don't reach out to your heart
Like the ones you want to be near
I've learned that the words "I Love You"
Are meant in many ways
But I need to hear them from you
You're the one I've wanted for days
Those three little words "I Love You"
Hold so much meaning to me
Only one way I need to hear them
From your loving heart, can't you see
I've been lifted up
And been beat down
But I wont give up
Until I'm Heaven bound
When I say the words "I Love You"
It's like there are Angels around
With our every little contact
I am lifted from the ground
Forever and a day
That's all I want from you
Words not so hard to say
A Heartfelt "I Love You" too

As you go through your days
Like nothing is wrong
I'm thinking up ways
To help keep me strong

With my broken heart

Always felt it was strong
