billb summed it up quite well, seems to me. In a slightly uncomfortable way I enjoyed this. A lot. It is unique. I love the originality. Standing ovation from here.

I sat down, leaned back, and completely enjoyed this tune! It unfolds in a most interesting way, to me at least. Love the instrumentation. This was a pleasure and I appreciate you sharing this.

Love the floating guitars back and forth in the stereo field. Mighty fine guitar playing. A cool and interesting tune, too. I enjoyed this, Paul.

.
Well constructed track, it gets to business and just stays there. Thanks for sharing!
okay so those lovely people at the hidden gems sent me along :
Intro: nicely done
Drums: big scale a nd nicely compressed with just a hint of reverb.
Piano:creating the bed for this track the chords are clear and drive nicely.
Synths etr : and boy are there a whole lot of elements to this little collection, horns and soar away lead synth sounds that come and go at oppurtune moments creating their own ambience and focus.
Vocals: Gabriel does spring to mind:a hard edged Gabriel and the intonation is also very gabrielesque but that is a good thing not a bad thing the hummed parts are great too really adding to the overall effect of this song.
Bass : that programmed slappy sounding bass part is cool but it could do with more density as it is slipping away in this big production.
The ending was a little abrupt !
Theres a whole lot to be proud of inside this one it sounds gorgeous and rounded .
Epic is a term often used to describe anything thats perhaps a little too long but here the context is quite deserved. Its not "an epic" in the tradional sense but it has an epic feel about it.
So in summary:
Elements coming together to form a bigger picture.Works beautifully
Sly
Everyone, I extend a most gracious thank you.
Nigel, that was extremely generous of you to say.
Thanks for the head's up in the review corner
Well it is no secret that I am ahuge fan of Henry's.
Mike, well,Mike is a composer in the truest sense of the word.
Often his compositions leave me feeling as though I have so very much to learn about EVERYTHING!
So put them together and it has to be good,it has to be VERY good, and of course,no suprise,it is indeed.
It is epic, regal, and yet instantly appealing.
So many very fine touches, the attention to detail....
The excellent musicanship,songwriting to mastering...
Yep,this is CLASS.
Excellent work guys.
Nigel.
Hate tracks like this slipping past me without notice. What an absolute monster of a track. The backing track is just full of majesty. Love that kick in the drums, with superb piano and synth work. Henry's vocals are just perfect. Absolute killer, guys.
Cheers
Brian
I like the grand sounding, dramatic feel and the almost frantic layers of base and percussion. Powerful and unsettling. Very, very effective!
Richard
Another creative gem from two great musicians! Excellent choices made to keep this unique track moving. Henry, your vocals are as always ... great! The instrumentation is just superb in it's quality! Kudos to you both!!
The Lifetrons ride again! Great intro with Henry on the ooooooo e ooooo yeeeah ee aaaas. Love that. Really quite a powerful song guys and just a wonderful delivery of it. Very solid musically and well thought out. Enjoyed thoroughly. Excellent Mike and Henry! ~Blake
Instrumentation and arrangement is excellent! Love the selection of timbres! Not the least of which Henry's vocal chords! Another gem my friends!
Hello Stu,
The thank you must be extended to you....
Most appreciative....
amazing..!!
great tune... and a very 'peter gabriel feel' to it... but that's a good thing..
it's strength is also its weakness i think... in that it is near perfect instrumentation, and i just think that a little error may add a whole new life to it..?
love it... great track... thanks
Thought I heard a Beach Boys vocal start to this; not a joke...I like it. Very expressive vocals; good range. Like the synth subtlr in the background , creating a moody atmosphere and complimenting your singing. Great! Good to hear you again. Good lyrics.
-Vesa.
Damn'.........This track has in all ! Loved the intro..wait I had to start the song again.....Yea,
superb.......killer drums.Henry's vocals are always stimulating ,refreshing and excellent.
The class of production, song writing skills and performances are top shelf !! You two create
dynamic music. Always a pleasure to experience !!!
