<p><span style="font-size: small;">One of the cool things about the Mixposure Artist Theme is that you can customize it.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">In your Control Panel, click the Customize Your Site icon. This displays your theme layout colors. If you want to add a customized background, upload an image to Photoucket and link to it from within the theme. There are a variety of things you can do in here, play around with it to get a feel for it. If you are proficient with HTML, you can also click on the advanced view for more options.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">One of the other options is to click on View Shared Skins. This can also be a great starter point for some people. You can use one of the existing shared skins and modify it to however you want.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I am thinking we need to do a contest for coolest theme. Anyone up for this?</span></p>

<br />Thanks to Venuestudio for helping the artists out here and mixing all the songs you have done! Kent is a mod here and co-moderates the Recording Studio forums with Beerhunter. If you need a song remixed, post a message in the Help Mix My Song Forum. We have an upload server setup so you can send him the full wav files and not smaller mp3 files. Kent is not charging for this and will do it as time permits. He has done numerous songs for the members here and for that we all thank you!!<br /><br />Our apologies for the Same Song Title Madness version 10!! With everything that went on recently, we dropped the ball. The winning title was I KNOW TROUBLE. We will still use that song title and let's set a new due date of August 2nd. If you have not participated in one of these before the concept is simple. Everyone creates a song using that song title. It can be any genre you like. Vocals are not mandatory but help sell the song better! This is a great opportunity to collab with some of the members here!!<br /><br />As we announced before, we are running a Contest for July! As many people know, what makes this site unique is the members and song reviews! Many sites are just a storage bin for your music. Let's face it, we want to know what people think of our music. So for the top reviewer for July, we have decided that the person with the most reviews will have their account upgraded to a Premium Account. The Premium Accounts are not much different than the Basic Account other than they allow more songs and videos. We did not want people to have to pay to have all the features offered here. We would have liked to make this a 100% free site but that was just not possible.<br /><br />If you are knew to reviewing and are just not sure what to say, these may help! Happy 4th of July! Be safe out there tonight everyone! <br /><br />I wanted to take a moment and welcome all of the new members that have signed up recently. Welcome aboard! Please stop by the <a href="http://www.mixposure.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=25">Introduction Forum</a> and tell us a little bit about yourself.<br /><br />I have had a lot of emails and private messages of support for resurrecting the Mixposure.com domain name. It was a pricey investment but I hated to see it sitting there with stupid ads on it. We may not be the Mixposure of old but I hope with your help we can build something even better. <br /><br />I have been a member on many different music sites and have never found one with the caliber of musicians on this site other than MySpace and Soundclick. But let's face it, we are all on those sites! So I thank everyone for being here! <br /><br />Oh, we kind of spaced the Same Song Title Madness with everything that was going on. <p>Morning everyone!</p>
<p>I wanted to thank everyone that joined us in chat last night and who listened to the live broadcast of Saturday Night Rocks with Mike K! The Center Stage Presentation with Michael Fix was absolutely fantastic! If you missed the show, please listen to the rebroadcast. You will no be disappointed!</p>
<p>I wanted to extend a special thanks to Rob Grant for hitting 1000 Reviews this week! Outstanding achievement my friend. Remember everyone, the best way to say thanks for a review you have received is to write a review of their music.</p>
<p>I have added some additional content on the main page. You will now see some charts and latest songs added. I think this will help give some more exposure to our artists. I am open for suggestions of what else you would like to see on the main page. I may not be able to code all of them or do all of them but I will do my best!</p>

<p>Welcome to the New Mixposure everyone! I just wanted to take a few moments and share some information.<br /><br />This site is not affiliated with the Mixposure of Old. I was a member there along with many of the existing members on this site. When Kyle let the domain go, we decided it would be a great idea to buy it. We tried to buy it from Kyle but he did not return our call. Instead we purchased it from a third party vendor.<br /><br />That being said, are we the same as the Mixposure of old? Yes and No. Yes in that we provide a lot of the same features and No because we provide a lot of features that the old Mix did not offer.<br /><br />I know some people had a great experience with the old Mixposure. Kyle built a great place for many musicians to hang their hat. It was ashame that it went down the way it did. Like the Phoenix though, Mixposure has risen again from out of the ashes. This time under new management and a team of dedicated musicians/moderators to make your experience a positive one.<br /><br />Oh additionally, if you have links on the internet to your old mix page, make sure you use the same band name so your links become active again. If you are an existing member here and need a name change, please let me know.<br /><br />I hope you enjoy the new Mixposure everyone.<br /><br />The Mixposure Team</p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">Well I said we had an announcement coming and I was not kidding. There was talk of iMusicScene closing down and essentially it will over the next few months. The reason being? We bought a new domain name that some of you will remember called Mixposure.com. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">The domain name was expiring and I left a message for Kyle, the old owner of Mixposure. I never had a return call and he let it expire. That was sad because I wanted to buy it from him. Instead it basically went to someone who had the domain name on backorder. These companies do that so they can sell the domain for a huge profit.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">Mixposure had a rich history and a lot of talented artist. I hated to see the domain name go to waste so I started the transaction on Friday and it completed today. I almost canceled it over the weekend after everything that went on.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I think this is a great move for us personally. Yes I am sad that iMS Name will be going away in a way. But I think the Mixposure name had such a great following we will just add to the great artist here.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I am not sure how some people are going to take this. Some may find it great. Others may be saddened. This is why i was going to leave the site down for a few days so when you returned, everything would be done.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">So this is our big announcement! Love it? Hate? You tell me. We will be changing everything up over the next few days. All links will still work. Those of you that were here when we changed from GuitaristWorks to iMS may remember the fun lol.</span></p>

<p>I just wanted to say thanks to everyone. Your support has been remarkable. We were very very close to shutting down iMS.</p>
<p>One of the things we realized is you guys are family. We know a lot of your first names, about your kids or grankids or college plans. Like all families, we have our ups and downs but usually come together in the end.</p>
<p>With luck we have some big announcements coming this week. Will keep everyone posted.</p>

<p><span style="font-size: small;">Guys it comes with great sadness that we have decided to close down iMS. I feel like we have let everyone down. There was a lot of time and money invested in iMS and a lot of fantastic friendships were made.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I know many of you are wondering why now? What happened? Basically there have been some outside influences that have been trying very hard to drag this site down. They did a great job so well done there. I have been verbally assaulted and so have my wife and kids. Very nice huh?</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">In the end, it was just not worth it. I built this site to have fun and frankly the fun has turned into a full time damage control position. I had friends from other sites that really do not spend any time here telling me about how he heard the admins are reading private messages on iMS. You can read that post <a href="http://www.imusicscene.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&amp;t=12100">Here</a> if you have not done so yet. Blows my mind.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I have a beautiful wife (WildCherry) and two kids and they are the most important people in my life. We currently have some things going on in our lives that is far more important than this site.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I do not want to just up and close the doors. I know a lot of people have music on here and they may not have backup copies. Mike K also has a great show schduled for iMS Radio on Saturday Night so I hope everyone shows up. Maybe we can call it the last hurrah.<br /></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: small;">I will go through the subscriptions and credit back any monies owed. I do not for a minute want anyone to think that iMS would take advantage of anyone. We have always run this site with the utmost integrity.</span></p>
