Great use of the low end strings--fat tone and some real nice lead lines on the high end as well! gotta love it!
11/02/11 08:18:24AM @mista-perez:
Good down home blues. The music is like butter. Great melody line.
06/21/11 09:20:59PM @mike-bender:
Drums sound great to me. Nothing odd at all. Pretty hard to be odd when it is a straightforward steady beat. Nice playing and recording!
11/02/11 07:16:59PM @stephan-foster:
Wow Great tone! So smooth with melody anchored to the beat. I hear nothing that disturbs my internal clock! Great feel in another great tune. Excellent!
09/15/10 12:18:22AM @michael-frazier:
Again the drum beat confounds me. Mixes up the beats with the guitar. Sounds like a progammed drum beat that you drift on and off of. Sorry for the critique but that is what it sounds like early on to me. More solid later in the tune. I was looking forward to a blues song that made me think of the season of Autumn - the softer side. Still you got some stellar guitar licks I'd love to have on some of my own tunes. Enjoyed the listen.
02/18/10 12:32:25AM @digger-stone:
i love the tone of your guitar, very classic..i think what is so apealing in this one is you frazing, i find it very natural. like a kid on the playground just having a little fun. well done man! this is a great modern blues!
peace,

Enjoying myself so much had to try another. Different style again but the quality shines through. Great shuffle with a bit of grunt, but tastefully done. Love your playing, production and writing. Will definitely be back for more. Thanks - Derek

I like this breezy bluesy number- the guitar gives this emotion.
06/02/09 10:45:51AM @mark-reed:
A piece of blues and I missed it first time round. Man that opens up with real presence. The rhythm has crunch. Tremendous support for that guitar work. My favourite from this visit. Excellent piece well done

09/28/08 12:09:45PM @paul-oakley:
Oh yeah, this had me right from the first note. Love the phrasing and some of the bends, e.g. at 1:40, but what I really like is the tone and smooth (almost lazy, but in a good way!) playing. Now the tones got super smooth and the playing stepped up another level!!
Excellent!!!

That Christer was C L A S S.
Yep,like Self Tort mention, now and again,I catch a bit of Joe Walsh in your phrasing...
But,anyhows....
Not important...
This is just class, top to bottom.
Ultra tasteful lead,beautiful,nae,perfect production.
But that lead, has me completely hooked.
Dazzling...
Man you are one superemly talented man Christer.
Excellent.
Nigel.
09/15/08 12:10:54PM @jkondrak:
Chrickon, very enjoyable tune. The blues guitar is top-notch and represents a great example of the genre. The song is arranged nicely and flows real smooth. I can't believe I can hear such great material coming from an indie music site (well, I can believe it on mixposure, which does showcase some great talents, but the mainstream is really missing out if you haven't been picked up by a heavy hitter).
For this song in particular, though it's a great instrumental, I could just imagine a good vocal track, too, & I happen to think it would be a great fit for Bonnie Rait. Something about it sounds like her band, which shows a high a level of achievement, as it compares favorably with established industry giants.

I've been working on some guitar instrumentals, but hearing this is enough to make me give up. Agree with everyone else, this is super work. A lot of guitarists have been mentioned in earlier reviews and I will add Joe Walsh and Jeff Beck to that list ax possible influences. What set you apart Christer is your ability to absorb a myriad of influences, synthesise them, add your incredible ability and come out with your own distinctive voice. Lovely composition, flawless playing. Loved it. Adding to favs.
Cheers

I am a guitar player from Sweden(Stockholm) who writes and play mostly instrumentals, cant sing(not the way i wish i could), I have played guitar for a long time and have done some session work and touring in the past. Just beacuse I am a guitar player it dosen't mean that I like to wank/ripp of on the fretboard! NO!! I care for melodies. I listen to all types of music performed with heart and emotion. Working on my skills to be a better writer, arranger and musician not only on the guitar. I write in many different genres. I am also involved in some diffrent projects both with vocals and instrumental but here you will find my own stuff. I use Cubase for recording on PC and for guitars(a bunch). I use a Fender Champion and a Blackstar HT-5 head, Line 6 Helix, Pod HD and a PodXT with various pedals, Kemper profile player.
Great use of the low end strings--fat tone and some real nice lead lines on the high end as well! gotta love it!
