<p><font size="4"><a href="http://74.86.37.3:8010/listen.pls">iMS Radio</a></font></p><p><font size="4">As you can hear we have added a random playlist of the artist of iMusicScene.com. During the next week we will be testing it out and making sure everything works the way it is supposed to work. </font></p><p><font size="4">As for DJ's I think if you are interested in having a show, please send me a message with your show idea. A small mp3 sample would also be good.</font></p><p><font size="4">I think what we would be looking to do is possibly do a few weekend shows at 2-3 hours per show. As for content, it must be original music only. No Covers. I would like to say all music has to be from iMS LOL but I think that defeats the purpose of a good radio show. The idea is to get music heard. </font></p><p><font size="4">A few requirements for DJ's. You must have high speed internet access. A speedy computer would also be good. You must have a decent mic and souncard in order to stream. DJ's will connect directly into our server and we will stream the content. </font></p><p><font size="4">As I said, we are in the testing stages so bare with us!</font></p><p><font size="4">Dazed</font></p>
<p><font size="3">Hey Guys!</font></p><p><font size="3">Some of you may have heard that Nexus Radio UK will no longer be using the iMS Chat Room. No there is not bad blood between the two sites! Stop thinking drama guys lol. </font></p><p><font size="3">While the iMS Chat Room offered Nexus the ability to get away from their IRC Chatroom, it did have some limitations for them. We require a login to keep it secure, some of the ignore features caused some problems I guess (I am looking into this) and they did not have admin permissions in the chat. </font></p><p><font size="3">We also had some complaints about the language and the tone of some of the shows. iMS has people of all ages on here and some are under 21. We never want anyone to be uncomfortable so always try and keep it professional. <br /></font></p><p><font size="3">We are saddened to see Nexus move but they will still be playing music from the fine artists on iMS. The problem is, we really liked the interaction in the chatroom during shows. When we first started this site, our chatroom was always active and then we just started using the forum shoutbox more. I forgot how much fun the chat was! We were asked about starting iMS Radio several months ago and I just did not feel we had the time to do it. I guess now is as good of time as any to give it a shot. </font></p><p><font size="3">So if you have longed to do an internet radio show please give this some thought. We will be looking for some people to step up to the mic so to speak. We should have everything in place tomorrow and will be doing some testing. I finally had the chance to get it added yesterday. I thought this was a great idea since it will give everyone a chance to get some daily exposure based on daily reviews. The Top 10 List of Reviewers is great but as Rob pointed out to me, it makes it difficult for new people to catch up. <p><font size="3">Hey guys I just wanted to thank everyone. I am not sure if anyone has ever used Alexa before but it is a site that tells you the rank of websites. I was never really concerned with traffic to the site as much as I was about content and the members. I felt that as long as the music was good and the people were friendly, the site would grow. Personally I just wanted it to be fun but how fun could it be if there was no traffic lol.</font></p><p><font size="3">Anyway our stats have put at us a very respectable level in my opinion not to mention in a very short time. <p><font size="3">We have had a few people that for whatever reason can't log into the Forum.</font><font size="3"> I have been looking into it but sometimes these changes can cause an issue with everyone else's login. So, if you can't get logged into the Forum, please open up your browser and click tools > options > and you should see a way to delete your cookies. Hi All! <br /><br />There was a conversation going on in the http://www.imusicscene.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=93 - Help Mix My Song Forum - so I thought I would send this out this morning. For those of you who may not know, we started this forum about 4 months ago. The idea behind it is simple. Not all of us are audio engineers. We wanted to have a place where people could upload their wav files and have someone else mix their song. <br /><br />In today's Internet Music world, you pretty much have to be a jack of all trades when it comes to home recording. Yes it is easy to lay down a couple of tracks and do a quick mix and post it up. However, we all know when listening to our favorite bands CD that there is so much more going on behind the scenes than just the bass, drums, keys, vocals and guitar tracks. Mixing and Mastering is an art form. There is a lot of high end audio equipment out there to help make a song sound pro. Not everyone has these tools or knows how to use them effectively. Just because someone hands you a scalpel, it does not make you a surgeon! So that is where this forum came from. <br /><br />In reading some of the reviews to songs out there, the one thing that is consistent is comments regarding the mix. Trust me I have been there before. I have listened to my "best" mix and then heard Floridamusic's mix and they sound like completely different songs. I guess this is the difference when someone who owned a recording studio mixes it versus someone who just started mixing in the last few years. <br /><br />We have had several people take advantage of this and they have been extremely impressed with the results. I am just surprised more people have not taken advantage of this. I do not know of any other site that is offering to mix people's songs for free. You may not like the new mix, but what do you have to lose? The only thing I can think of is the time it takes to upload the music. This process accomplishes a few things. The first being that you get to hear your song in a new light. The second being that the audio engineers get to work with different music and improve their skills. The third being that you have the ability to ask questions and learn how the mix was accomplished. <br /><br />We have retained our old site name and server so that people can upload all wav files to this address: http://www.guitaristworks.com/mix/ . The person mixing the song can retrieve the files from http://www.guitaristworks.com/mix/uploads/ . The directories get deleted regularly so grab the files asap. <br /><br />I wanted to remind people that this option is available. If you would like to experiment with a song, please post a message in the forum http://www.imusicscene.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=93. If everyone would do me a favor and if you do have a song remixed, post the original and the new version in your thread so people can hear the differences. You have nothing to lose.
