I need to apologize to David for my late posting on this. I was so occupied with some of the personal things going on in my life I completely forgot to get this posted.

Aug 9th

OK, The time may have come for Kiaren's transplant.....We just received a call from the transplant team to get him to the hospital in Melbourne ASAP. The situation is that there is an organ and they have to make a decision on one of two options. The first is that the liver is of a size that can be transplanted into Kiaren successfully. In that scenario he will be transplanted. If it is determined that the organ is too big......it will go to the other recipient. We will know the answer at about 8 am Aussie time Monday morning. If the transplant is a go, Nancy and I will be travelling to Melbourne by car immediately.. If the situation is not a go ahead, then we wait until another organ becomes available.

We are of course praying that this organ is the one for our precious young man, but whatever happens we want to raise a prayer or thoughts of good will for the person who died and gave permission for their organs to be used. Our thoughts go out to the family who have lost a loved one. We thank you with all our hearts for this gift.
Those of you that follow a path of prayer we ask for your prayers. Any goodwill and positive healing thought for Kiaren and support for Nikki his mother will help.
Thank you in advance....this could be a crazy couple of months ahead.

For those that I am engaged on projects with, I will let you know as soon as I can what the situation is.
Brave Empire, as discussed I will continue to be active where ever I can by Internet and phone. I will need some help from the team though.

Let us see what the morning brings.........

David Pendragon

Aug 13
Hi, if possible could you put an update on Mixposure to let all the friends I have know that things are going well with Kiaren and his transplant. Good thoughts and prayers around the world are working miricles with his care. Anyone who wishes to help with small donations towards his mothers accomadation can reach me at this address. david.pendragon@yahoo.com.au or through the donations button at: http://www2.mixposure.com/Mondays_Not_Home/store.php Things are very good medically but very very challenging at a finance level and the suggestion that we ask for help has been hard to do for me. If its not something the site can do....thank you anyway for the support and thoughts already given. We are going to be here at the hospital for at least another 4 weeks.

"I will meet you in the Music."
David Pendragon

Wow great timing! David just sent this update 2 minutes ago!

Aug 27th

Hello everyone.

It is with great relief that I can write this email to say that Kiaren is doing very very well and is in fact out of the Children's Hospital and staying at the Liver transplant unit which is a Ronald McDonald [thank you!] facility for families of transplant patients. He will be there for at least one more week and then back to his home in Albury. Ongoing care will involve weekly trips to Melbourne for several months.
His doctor, the fantastic Dr. George Alex is very happy with Kiarens fast recovery and the medications appear to be doing the job they are meant to at this critical stage.
In himself K seems well and very thankful that the larger part of his need for a new life has been achieved. He knows that his life ahead will still contain huge challenges and a rigidly focused lifetime regimen with medication every day for the rest of his life that cannot be forgotten.
He has so much catching up to do with his education and that for a very intelligent 14 year old seems a daunting task. He is showing great commitment and desire however to reach his personal goals. Just the fact that he HAS personal goals, in itself is staggering to my mind!
Some time ago he decided that graphic design and computer games design were areas of his greatest interest, also just recently he has been trying his hand at Metal vocals........ He is however going to have to put in a great deal of energy to catch up academically. He will still have a great deal of missed school time ahead.

The thing that amazes me so very much is his attitude. Certainly there are times when it is all simply too much. Very quickly though he seems able to 're-frame' his thoughts and shrug off the negitive and look for an answer. I pray that he continues to have the stregnth and also the help needed to continue to do this throughout the difficult years of a teenager.

Our thoughts go out to the family of the wonderful person who gave Kiaren the gift of a new life. We do not know them and they do not know us, however there is a deeply mixed feeling of concern and gratitude for whoever they are. The person that signed the organ donar card and donated their organs will be remembered forever by our family and by Kiaren himself. As is my practice I am lighting a candle to the memory of the donor each night and will continue to do so.

Finaly for now, to all the fantastic healing energy generated by so many of you by prayer circles, sweat lodges, Reiki teams and simple good thoughts and well wishes we can never thank you enough. All I can say is this, the surgeon, the nurses, the doctors have ALL stated several times that Kiaren is very well ahead of the 'expected' schedules for recovery. From one doctor I heard the words " It's rather amaziing how well he has gone ".

This entire period of my life has brought me to a place of wonder. I am filming and writing words and song, hoping to in some tiny way express what is felt deep within. It all revolves around two words, 'Thank You'

"I will meet you in the Music."
David Pendragon

Hey All!

Well I guess we will try something new this weekend with Mike K's radio show! We have been wanting to add live video to Mixposure for some time now. Cost was always a factor not to mention the bandwidth and servers necessary to support it.

Last week we added the code in and we have been testing it out a little here and there. It looks like we are a go. The DJ's will have the option to use video if they like. Yes we made clothing mandatory so to all of the woman on Mixposure, you can thank me later .

The audio on the video stream is obviously not as good as the Mixposure audio stream so I think we will just keep them separate for now.

As always, Mixposure will always do what we can to stay on top of technology and bring you the latest advancement possible!

Click to play the songs!

Many of you know that the Same Lyric Madness is in full swing. We pushed the due date to Sept 5th! Please make sure you use the title Keep Breathing so we can group all of the songs together!!!

More information can be found here if you have not done one of these before!!

Hey Everyone!!

We are in the process on working on a new Radio Show but this one will be a bit different than the regular Radio Shows. Primarily because there will be no music.

What we are working on is a show that will be entirely on Mixing. Some of you may know Mike Aurigemma and his music not to mention his knowledge on not only mixing but equipment as well! Anyway, we are in the process of possible putting a show together that will be an educational show on ways to improve your mixes or just learn in general. The shows will probably be based on topics suggested by members and be an hour long with an hour of discussion after the show.

So what we would like to know is would this be of interest to the members of Mixposure? If so, what topics would you like to have covered?

Thanks for your input!

Dazed

A sad day with the passing of a musical legend. I will never forget buying a Tobacco Sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard and thinking how cool it was that I owned the same guitar that many icons like Jimmy Page used. Well I was 13 at the time hehe.
I am guessing there will be a tribute soon with many musicians coming together to share not only their music but their stories of Les. I know I will be watching it.
Talk about a man who left his mark in this world. Les Paul left his mark not only over millions of people over the last 60-70 years but many future generations to come.
I hate to say rest in peace because that sounds so cliche. I think "Well Done Les" makes more sense to me. He lived an iconic life and I can't help but smile with the accomplishments this man made.

Hey everyone!

Since Jim chose Nigel Potter as the Mixposure Artist of the month, he asked me to put his interview back up on the main Mixposure Page. I think August has been officialy declared Nigel Potter Month .

So if you missed his interview the first time around, please take some time and have a listen. You will not be disappointed!

Oh and Happy Birthday Nigel!!

Congratulations to Nigel Potter! Mixposure's August Artist of the Month!

Many of you will already know the artist Nigel Potter. He's been a great supporter of this site and the many and varied artists here for years. As a songwriter and musician, Nigel has recorded some of the finest music you will hear anywhere, commercially or independently. He writes about the human condition as very few can. He writes with honesty and integrity. His music reaches those places where few musicians can go, which is to say: his music stirs the soul. It is my great pleasure to honor Nigel Potter as the Mixposure Artist of the Month for August. And I am equally proud to call Nigel Potter a friend.

Peace,
Jim

Well I have been working on getting this for some time and it appears we will be testing it possibly this weekend. It may bother some and I know it will make some people ecstatic! Unlike the Review Crew saga though, love it or hate it, this is getting implemented.

The change that will be going in is a limit on song uploads based on song reviews. So if I sign up as an artist today on Mixposure, I will be allowed to only upload 2 songs. I will not be able to upload any other songs until day two. I will also not be able to upload any more songs until I have 5 song reviews. This means Song Reviews and not Artist Reviews, Blog Comments etc. or reviews on my own songs. Mixposure Premium Members will just be limited to the number of uploads per day which will probably be 5.

As you can see, this will not effect most artists here on Mixposure.

Thanks for Supporting Mixposure!

Dazed
